Sarah Hubbard

Sarah Hubbard

Sarah Hubbard has been quilting for a little over 15 years.  She is a life long resident of the Athens Community and is the Executive Director of Wild Intelligence. When she is not working she is making art, spending time in the woods, or spending time with her family and friends. She blogs at http://www.quiltingearthmama.com/

Why I do this:
I make art because it helps me better understand the world and myself.  Working predominately with fiber gives me a sense of texture that is much like the rich earth of colors and textures - each fabric is different, each piece is different, and when brought together they create something unique and beautiful and always evolving.

See this work and more from Sarah at Women's Work, Oconee County Library through March 5, 2015; Reception Feb. 15. Engage with us in social media! Our hashtag #ww_artists15
